It started with a basecamp.
We're a Pacific Northwest family. The kids grew up on the trail — first in carriers, then in their own small boots, then ahead of us, calling back to ask where we were. Most weekends found us somewhere quieter than where we'd come from.
Eventually the weekend trips outpaced the planning. We bought a small cabin in the woods near Mt Baker as our basecamp — somewhere to leave the boots and the snow chains and the kettle, and to come back to without unpacking the car each time.
Homey Hideaways is what came of it — a way to share the place. The trail behind the cabin, the bakery in town, the view from the deck at dusk. Whatever made us love this corner of the woods, we want you to have it for a few nights too.
